Message from the Head of Department, Community Health Nursing

The aim of community health nursing is to promote wellness in individuals, families and communities while acknowledging their diversity, unique characteristics and abilities. The course is geared towards equipping the graduants with the core competencies to implement various interventions including health promotion, disease prevention and direct holist clinical care strategies. The department has capitalized on individual student mentorship in order to produce the highest caliber of community health nurses, leaders and health professionals to effectively promote health, impact policy and transform healthcare across culturally diverse individuals, groups and communities. Every faculty in the department is committed towards ensuring that the students are equipped with knowledge, attitude and skills that will positively impact and sustain wellness through multidisciplinary approach and innovative education, research and evidence-based clinical practice.
